About Shenyang
Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province in northeastern China, is a major industrial, cultural, and academic center with a history of more than 2,300 years. As a key hub of the country's advanced equipment manufacturing and robotics industries, Shenyang is home to the Shenyang Institute of Automation (Chinese Academy of Sciences) and to leading aircraft, engine and unmanned-systems production bases, making it an ideal host city for USIT 2027. The city also hosts renowned universities including Northeastern University and Shenyang Institute of Aerospace Engineering.
Visitors to Shenyang can explore the Shenyang Imperial Palace (the secondary palace of the Qing Dynasty), the 9.18 Historical Museum, Beiling Park and the Zhao Mausoleum, as well as vibrant shopping districts such as Zhongjie — one of the oldest commercial streets in China. The city's cuisine is celebrated for hearty northeastern flavors, including guobaorou, suan cai and various barbecue specialties.
Shenyang is well connected by air and rail. Shenyang Taoxian International Airport (SHE) links the city with most major Chinese hubs and selected international destinations, while the Shenyang Railway Station and Shenyang North Railway Station provide high-speed connections to Beijing, Dalian and beyond.
